Father-Son bonding experience (maybe) this morning as we stood in front of target for 2+ hours waiting on a couple of SNES classics. We got ’em 🙂

Anybody know of a tactical flashlight that randomizes the strobe frequency and intensity?

Watched Episodes 1 and 2 of “The Orville” which is Fox’s new SciFi. It’s a star trek esque series by Seth Macfarlane, and I’m annoyed that it’s actually pretty good. Annoyed because it most likely means Fox will cancel it after one season, which they tend to do to any good SciFi they come up with. But it’s good. It’s “Star Trek” but a little less up tight and serious, while still being fairly accurate/not-entirely-crazy.

Apple releases ‘slightly upgraded’ iPhone 8, Google releases Pixel 2. Apple releases ‘exciting new’ iPhone X, Google releases Pixel 2 XL. Seems like a lot of copying going on.

So I’ve heard from all my South Florida friends and family. Everyone is fine. Just lots of wind and rain damage (flooding) but it really could have been a lot worst. My house lost a personal lamp post (snapped at the base), the mailbox and apparently lightning nailed the tree in the front yard knocking off lots of large branches and leaving a nice black spot in the grass. The tenants were otherwise fine.

Does anybody have an idea of how Boca Raton is holding up? I’m not getting a response from my brother or my tenants, I assume power is down and maybe cell towers. I figure things are fine but if anybody knows the extent of the damage to Boca let me know.

Switching between a MacBook Pro and a Dell laptop is annoying because my fingers get used to where the left Control key is on the Mac. On a MBP it’s “fn” + “left-Ctrl” but on the Dell it’s “left-Ctrl” + “Fn”. 1st world problems I suppose?
